The Alkaline Diet
The perfect sunny temperatures punctuated by a fresh breeze could only mean one thing: spring is upon us. But with rising temperatures comes spring blooms. And those allergic to pollen can hardly enjoy the lovely weather.
For clients wary of the side effects of OTC allergy medications, perhaps it's time to give something new a try. More specifically, the Alkaline diet.
An Alkaline Diet
No doubt you've heard of Alkaline water. But what about the Alkaline diet? Often heralded for its ability to promote weight loss and prevent inflammation, an alkaline diet can also help prevent allergic reactions over time.
The diet is based on the idea that consuming certain foods can promote body alkalinity. That is, changing your body's PH from an acidic one to one that is more basic, or alkaline. The more acidic your body's PH is, the more susceptible you are to disease and chronic inflammation.
According to Daryl Gioffre, an Alkaline diet guru, your diet should be comprised of at least 70% alkaline foods.
